Mill Farm Charities

Mill Farm supports Headway Essex and Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

You will see Honesty Boxes on the table when you come to pay after picking your own fruit.

Headway Essex
Headway Essex promotes understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.
Annabelle Glover has been the Education Tutor at the Centre since it opened in 1987 and is committed to supporting survivors in their journey of recovery.

MNDA
Mill Farm supports fundraising for MND both locally and nationally in memory of a family member Jenny Green who died at the age of 62 after being diagnosed 3 yrs earlier. The disease slowly removed the ability for her to do the things she loved; sailing, cycling, playing with her grandchildren and the things we all take for granted like walking, talking, eating and breathing.
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

There is currently no cure for MND.
Last year Mill Farm customers Honesty Boxes raised over £300 for these charities during their short Pick Your Own season.
